The performance specifications for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel powertrain and what else this fantastic vehicle has to offer will pique people’s interest. During the vehicle’s first year, a diesel-powered Gladiator was touted on and off, but it never materialized for one reason or the other. Customers told Jeep that a diesel engine would be welcome beneath the hood of upcoming Gladiator models, and they gladly agreed.
The Engine Specs and Features
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is propelled by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is in line with either a 6-speed manual or an optional 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Gladiator features an additional 19.4 inches between the front and rear wheels compared to the normal Wrangler. It also gets 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the interstate. To enhance economy, this engine is paired with Stop-Start functionality.
The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine produces 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Moreover, variable Geometry Turbo technology is used in this engine, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
